Greetings and welcome to what I hope to
be an exceptional week for my readers. As we have covered comedians,
horror actors, typecast and more than a handful of directors and
producers, I strive to provide a sense of class now and then so you
are not mistaken that this is purely a sci-fi fantasy and horror
blog, when in fact it is not. So in that custom of branching out, I
thought we could focus on a man's career that spans more than six
decades.
Haven't got a story about Burma, you blighter. |
A man from humble beginnings left
school at age 15 and took on a series of blue collar jobs before
enlisting in the Bristish army serving in the Korean War, Returning
to England once more he became engrossed with the theater and
starting out again ever so humble as an assistant stage manager, he
took the stage name Caine on advise of his agent. The following
years he worked over 100 TV dramas before receiving a plum role in
Cy Endfield's Zulu. From there his star has been on the rise.
This cockney gent full of the rough and tumble came across the screen
with a certain elegance and poise. Ladies and gentlemen I speak of
Michael Caine. To wit, we shall enjoy some drama, comedy and
possible some action.
Oh dear, I seem to have attracted a wild and crazy guy. |
